Going to the Dogs

Posted On November 6th, 2009

If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with my dog, Maggie.  I have become “one of those” people.  You know… the kind that treat their dog like a child.  Yes… I admit it!  I act as if my dog came from my own womb and I’m not ashamed.  I actually look at my sweet puppy (she’s 8… but will always be my puppy) on some days and think she has my eyes and my husbands coloring.  I know, I know… I’m a nut!  But how can I help it?  She is always happy to see me, does the funniest things and despite her 32 pounds is the perfect lap dog.  She loves to sit on my lap at night while I type my blogs and dig her head under my laptop for warmth…. she’s even doing it right now!  And you may not be surprised, but she even has her own stationery… I hear you laughing at me !  Hey,  she needs to thank our friends and family for her bones and toys just like I do.  We can’t be rude!

The thing is there are so many stylish dog products now that I can’t imagine why more shops don’t carry them.  I don’t want the toys from Pet Smart and the collars from Super Pet Mart.  Let’s face it… that stuff doesn’t fit in my house and isn’t my style.  I’m not talking cheesy dog outfits and booties … I’m talking about stylish accessories for your furry friends that fit into your lifestyle.  It makes sense after all…  since Maggie is such a part of our family, she should be treated like one!

Lauren
