Dear Pressure,
Since the moment I found out I was pregnant, I began to stress over the birth announcement. Let’s face it… owning a stationery boutique and being a graphic designer gives me every option in the world… letterpress, duplexing, liners, envelopes and more. I literally have every option and print method at my fingertips and I knew family and friends were waiting to see what I was going to do. Frankly, the pressure was on and I had to deliver (the baby and the announcement… ha ha ha). There was two things I knew for sure… I wanted to include an animal of sorts (since her nursery has a baby animal theme) and I wanted gold foil. Now I had to design them…
So, first I called my stationery BFF, Dabney Lee and asked to use her Dumbo and Lattice patterns. Then I designed a simple and sweet announcement with the piece de resistance being Piper’s photo taken by Twinkle Twinkle Images. Next up was sending my file over to Real Card Studio, my go to vendor for special projects and the results was a perfect triple duplex announcement with gold foil and metallic envelopes… I couldn’t have been happier. And with matching stationery to complete the set… I was off to the mailbox in no time!
Write more… Type less,
Lauren
