Recently, the number three has been swirling around in my head. I know it probably sounds a bit odd, but one of my friends is expecting triplets. Yep, you heard me… TRIPLETS!!! Since, I’ve never known anyone with triplets before, the whole concept of having three children all at once has blown my mind. The closest I have even come to multiples is one of my friends is a twin. And, I admit I have read all the gossip on the excruciatingly annoying John & Kate, but that certainly doesn’t count as experience. Needless to say, my mind has been in overdrive. Three babies, three strollers, three high chairs, three diapers…. and how do I even throw my friend a shower for triplets!
Now that the initial shock has worn off, I have begun to think about how great the number three is. Let’s see… my favorite thing to do is eat and there are THREE meals a day. I love watching reruns of THREE’s Company… that Jack is so funny. I used to love it when my parents read me the story of the THREE little pigs as they acted out all the huffing and puffing. I even have a niece and nephew both of whom are THREE years old. And of course, being a graphic designer and a lover of all things design, I focus on the principle of using objects in groups of THREE. So, it all makes sense that one of my best friends is having triplets… because she is so fabulous and so is the number three.

Good luck to your friend! I’m a twin, and that was rough enough on dear Barb.
Also, I like to think of some of my favorite color combinations in threes–black, white, and gray; blue, green, and pretty much anything else.
As a twin, I can say it’s true… multiples are the best!
