Maybe it’s because I watched the Tour de France every morning with my husband the last few weeks (sorry Lance, there’s always next year).  Maybe it’s because we were in Italy this past fall and all these chic Italian women were riding bikes in summer dresses.  Or maybe it’s because I’m obsessed with Nantucket and want to summer there… But, I need, want and have to have a classic bicycle in a bright color and it has to be soon!  And once I get something in my head, I don’t let it go easily.  I just imagine myself riding along the lake (we don’t live near a lake… does a pond count), heading to the farmer’s market (we don’t have one of those either… does Publix count) and just cruising along the streets on my classic bicycle, honking the horn with a basket full of french bread and wine.  My husband of course will need his own bike so that we can ride together on sunday afternoons (holding hands, of course).  I guess some bicycle stationery will have to hold me over for now… sigh!
