She was one of a kind for sure and a true icon. Too many people throw that word around these days. Scarlett Johansson is not an icon. Angelina Jolie is not an icon. Katie Holmes is not an icon. At least not yet. Jackie O? Now, there’s an icon.

I think about this a lot! My middle/high school years were part grunge, mostly gangsta rap – read: low slung waaayyy too big jeans, my dad’s flannel shirts, lots of eyeliner and mauve lips… eeekk! And although I’m still known to bump Wu Tang in the car (so not Jackie’esque) I do ask myself “would Jackie or Audrey wear this?” before I buy anything! If not, it goes back!
