Ahhh… white sand, blue waters and warm sun… a perfect recipe to the end of summer blues.  Heading to Seaside, Florida this past week with friends and family was the perfect way to bid adieu to summer.  And, while summer is still in full swing down there, trying to buy a few beach essentials before my trip was darn near frustrating.  Thank goodness for J.Crew who seems to understand that while it is still 90 degrees outside, some of us still may need a pair of shorts.  And as I sat on our balcony this past Wednesday, overlooking the water, I made a decision.  I am taking a stand!  Even though school has started here in Nashville and one is hard pressed to find a bathing suit in a retail store… I’m holding on strong.  I’m not ready for fall.  I’m not ready to wear sweaters and I am certainly not ready to give up my flip flops.  I don’t want to put away my summer dresses and have to start wearing a waistband again… yuck!  I want seahorses and shells, bright colors and sand.  So there, I said it… I’m not giving up on summer just yet!  Who’s with me?  Maybe a few accessories for my home and me will keep that summer feeling alive all year long.  Hmmm……
