Separated at Birth – Pom Pom Love

Posted On March 19th, 2010

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending a Trunk Show for the fabulous Jules Reid in Chattanooga.  You may remember a few weeks ago, I posted about my infatuation with finding a house dress and instantly fell in love with her patterns and colors.  So, when Jules herself emailed little ‘ole me and extended an invitation to a trunk show, just a couple of hours away in Chattanooga, I was absolutely giddy!  I convinced my hubby to take the day off and take a mini road trip… yay me!

So, there I was at the trunk show at Willa Collection in Chattanooga, trying on the most brilliant tunics and dresses from Jules and I had to make a decision… do I get the to die for tunic top or the mouth watering tank dress… decisions, decisions!!!  I finally, decided on the tunic after much deliberation (I would have gotten the dress too if my husband hadn’t given me the evil eye from across the store), made my purchase and was heading out when I spotted the most amazing purse across the room.  There it was, the angels were singing, a silk flowered pouch by Santi, perfect for an evening on the town or a lunch with the ladies.  The bag instantly reminded me of the fabric pom poms I had recently been obsessing over on Once Wed.  Not only were they separated at birth… but I was falling deeply madly in love with a much pricier version of home made pom pom decorations.  My palms got sweaty and my heart started to beat faster as I went to reach for this perfect piece of wearable art and then I could feel it… my husbands eyes boring into the back of my head.  I knew I didn’t have a chance.  I had pressed my luck… a Jules Reid tunic, two pairs of J Brand jeggings and the perfect little pair of earrings… their was no way in H – E – Double Hockey Stick I was leaving with another item.  Oh well… Sigh!!!

Write more… Type less,
Lauren

A special thanks to the remarkable Jules Reid, her assistant Mary and Kent, the owner of Willa Collection… I had a fabulous time!  And to my sweet husband, thank you for accompanying me to Chattanooga… there is nothing better then spending a day with you!
