I am super excited for this weeks workspace feature. Why you ask… because it is Julie Murphy of Jack and Lulu and I absolutely adore her! Since, the first day I met Julie at the National Stationery show years ago… I knew we could be friends. She exudes warmth, kindness and creativity and has that wonderful bubbly personality that just draws you in.
If I could instantly transport myself into Julie’s home office, I would. Who wouldn’t want to sit at her desk, dream up ideas and gaze out the amazing floor to ceiling french doors. What I love about Julie’s space is the lack of clutter. At first, I couldn’t imagine anyone could work on such a clean desk. But then Julie explained that while a bigger working surface would be nice, keeping it small helps her stay neat and organized. She is able to rotate books for inspiration and keep papers, clippings and files stored away in bins. Working at home in Connecticut (their distribution office is in North Carolina where her sister-in-law and business partner, Karen, lives), Julie finds solace in her tiny corner where she can keep the Legos and Madeline toys of her kids at bay.
Not only is Julie’s workspace fabulous but her home is to die for. She was kind enough to share photos of her house so we can get the entire idea of what surrounds her while she dreams, creates and invents her fabulous paper line. Thanks Julie… you’re the best!
Write more… Type less,
Lauren
P.S. In the next few days… we are getting a fabulous new shipment of Jack and Lulu at the shop. Be sure to check out all the new goodies on the site.

This blog is a collection of daily musings that inspires me to create, organize, and dream in my paper boutique, Rock Paper Scissors.

I am on the hunt for a big glass jar and coral today, seriously. I love that office space, it has inspired me! Just stumbled across your blog and I love it! It’s lovely
Absolutely love her work! I love all the colors and her house is absolutely gorgeous.
Wow, she has such a great space! I love their line.
This is one of my favorite posts of yours, Lauren! Jack and Lulu is on my short list of go-to paper brands, and Julie was nice enough to e-mail me back a few years ago.
Her style is flawless, and you’ve got to love those striped socks. I just posted a picture of that Navy chair on my own blog, too. Kismet.
what a stunning home! so happy I found your blog.
